Glossary of terms used in the proceedings of the Criminal Justice Assistance Reimbursement Scheme.
- Witness
- A witness is a person who could be called to give evidence in relation to a criminal offence punishable by imprisonment. This applies whether or not that person is called to give evidence, or any person is convicted of that offence and as a result is victimised and suffers loss.
