Requirements to work as a teacher in South Korea

If you require criminal conviction information from the Ministry of Justice to be able to work as a teacher in South Korea, you must:

  1. Follow the application instructions on the Get a copy of your criminal record page but  atttach a coversheet stating the following:
    • Your application is for work as a teacher in South Korea
    • You require the result to be on original letterhead with ink signature
    • You give the Ministry of Justice permission to forward your document to the Department of Internal Affairs for Apostille.
  2. Contact the Authentication Unit of the Department of Internal Affairs regarding their fee for the Apostille and delivery of your document. You can call them on 0800 872 675 or e-mail authentication@egs.govt.nz

There is no fee for the Ministry of Justice service.
