New Credit Check of Fines initiative

From 13 February 2012, if you have overdue fines or reparation this information may be included as part of a credit check about you. This may result in you being declined credit and stop you from getting the things you want. To avoid this happening, pay your fines now.

Fees

List of fees for civil debt enforcement applications

Application/filing fees for civil debt enforcement

There are filing fees for all Court enforcement applications.  Generally these fees have to be paid by you at the time of filing an application.  You can add the cost of these fees to the amount owed by the debtor so they can be recovered when the debt is paid. 

For Disputes Tribunal orders the fees can be added to the debt and can be collected later without having to pay them up front.  Fee amounts from 1 July 2011 are set out in the fee schedule below:
